Getting Involved

There are many areas you can participate in the EcoBlitz. You can simply attend our Kickoff event on April 26th, 2025 or you can help organize a table or tour!

The possibilities are endless! Check them out below!

Be an Attendee

If you are available on April 26th for our Kickoff event, consider being an attendee and help with observations!

Take part in guided tours and tabling activities to help us make our observations!

This option is kid friendly!

Host a Table

Do you have experience with IDing species or collecting environmental data? Consider hosting a table! Help lead other attendees in making observations at our Kickoff event!

This option is great for student clubs, courses, research groups, community organizations, graduate students, and scientists!

Participate on your own time

Not available for the Kickoff Event? No worries! You can still help us collect data during your free time! Instructions on how to make passive observations will be posted shortly.

***The EcoBlitz iNaturalist page automatically collects your data as long as your location settings are on and you are making observations on a Binghamton University Property! No hassle and no sign up!

Lead a tour

Can you attend our Kickoff event but can only stay for a short window? Do you have environmental or biological experience? Consider leading a tour! We will have multiple tours through the Binghamton University Nature Preserve for you to lead!

This option is great for student clubs, courses, graduate students, and scientists!
